Keeping your files private is important, especially if you share your PC with others. Luckily, Windows 10 lets you hide folders easily, keeping your personal or sensitive files out of sight. Whether you want to declutter your desktop or protect important documents, hiding a folder is a quick and simple way to keep things private. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Right-click on the folder you want to hide, then select "Properties."
2. In the Properties window, locate the "Attributes" section and check the "Hidden" box.
3. Finally, you’ll see two options:
"Apply changes to this folder only" – This means only the selected folder will be hidden, but its contents (files and subfolders) will remain visible.
"Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files" – This means the entire folder, along with all files and subfolders inside it, will be hidden.
Choose the option that best fits your needs and click "OK" to apply the changes.
